The Scrum Development model ensures that important parts of the solution are completed first followed by less important tasks. Once a certain level of functionality is achieved then the project can be completed reducing the risk of budget over runs.

Using Open Source Software

When there is a possible open source solution which offers most of the functionality then we recommend that we build on the existing proven application. This has three advantages to our clients

1. Reduces the cost of software development because large parts of the project are already implement by using quality projects.
2. Reduces the ongoing cost of the software because their are usually no ongoing licensing costs to use the software.
3. Maintenance of the software is easier because the source code is freely available for the projects used.
